EarthBasic. Take care. Bless many.
The body is the witness of the trauma the soul endures. The Word became flesh, passing from eternity to inhabit the form of His creation encapsulated in time. (John 1:14). His first appearance, simultaneously miraculous and unremarkable. He would walk amongst and as us, pressing into the fullness of humanity: our thoughts, emotions, choices, actions, fears, loves, hopes, disappointments and even our death. He is now exalted and rested at the right hand of the Father, where He is our eternal High Priest--interceding for us as one who is touched by the feeling of our infirmities--rekindling our hope with the good news of resurrection and life more abundant. (Hebrews 4:15 and John 10:10).
He is our teacher, with respect to all things pertaining to abundant living. And this month we will learn, from our Teacher, how to minister to the soul's pain so that the witness of our bodies is wholeness. Get ready for this month's study by reading Matthew 26: 36 - 43 and Luke 22:39 - 46. When you take care of your body, you must not forget that you have to take care of your soul, too. Your soul is very important and needs extra effort when it comes to providing your soul care and love because unlike the body, you cannot do it physically. You should be able to tap into your emotions to be able to reach your soul. One of the ways I take care of my soul is to make sure that at the end of a stressful week, I talk to someone I am close to and comfortable with. I share stories and random thoughts and it always makes me feel better whenever I am opening up to someone.
