Despise Not the Small Beginnings

Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.
Galatians 6:9, AMP

Hello Beloved! We continue our focus shifting our mindset so that we can experience abundance in the health of our bodies. Last week we encouraged you to simply show up. This week we encourage you not to despise the small beginnings.

I struggled all of last year to reestablish a fitness regime. And mostly, I struggled because I couldn't come to terms with having to start small again. I recalled the days when I ran miles with ease along the Hudson River and despised the short vigorous and walks and or runs I was able to fit into my schedule. And because I despised them, I forsook them. I chose nothing, instead of the small things and found my fitness deteriorating with each passing day of inactivity. But, one day while sharing my struggle with a coworker I received these words of wisdom, "You know, doing 5 minutes is still more than 0. Just do the little you can every day."

Sometimes it is the small things that can blow open a whole new path for breakthrough before you. And so now, I show up an my appointed days and do the little I can. And you know what? God meets me there and enables me to get a glimpse of how these small acts of faithfulness will be rewarded if I faint not. (Galatians 6:9).

Show up. Trust God to meet you there. Repeat, knowing that your labor will not be in vain.

Happy temple building!

Take care. Bless many.
