Read |Proverbs 29:18|

Sin brings disintegration of self while righteousness (living congruently with the character of God) brings integration of self or spiritual wholeness.

.Righteousness is walking in agreement with the character of God, by the power of His Holy Spirit. (www.biblestudytools.com). We walk in the direction of, and in keeping with, the revelation of our gaze. In order for us to walk in holy agreement we must see the One who is holy--His true character. Otherwise, we walk in the direction of error--the path of disintegration--the way of sin. We stumble all over ourselves and others. We make a mess of relationships and things, as we unravel.  (Proverbs 29: 18). This unraveling seeming as if unto death, as we realize we cannot reclaim our footing--the footing of which eternity within us speaks. (Ecclesiastes 3: 11). Reclaiming requires right seeing and only the pure in heart shall see God. (Matthew 5: 8). What a mess! What a tragic undoing!

But, thanks be to God who has met us in the blood and flesh of Jesus Christ and extended to us a most blessed gift---the gift of wholeness we could have never secured for ourselves. We gain, in Jesus Christ, the capacity to experience wholeness by faith. We gain the repairing of our parts, from the inside out. We gain His right seeing and consequent perfect congruence with the Godhead. (2 Corinthians 5:16 - 21 & Colossians 1: 19 - 20). We are enabled to walk in the light--no longer stumbling all over ourselves--as we see who God is and what He is doing. Our gaze fixed on Him in awe and reverence, we find our lives following suit. We find we come to walk the path of recovery--we come to walk the path of which eternity speaks--the blessed way home, to God first and only. (Psalm 1).

We gain by way of His generosity. We gain because of His love. We gain by way of His generosity. We gain because of His love. We gain by way of His generosity. We gain by way of His love. (John 3: 16 & 1 John 4: 10). This is the truth we must remember when we feel the pull of what we left behind, as we set our minds on recovery. (Philippians 3: 13). We did not work our way to right seeing, walking and wholeness--we were opened up to receive His gift. (Ephesians 2: 8 - 9). And this is how we keep going, by staying open and receiving. (Galatians 3: 3).

Beloved, keep going. Open yourself up to God--receive Him fully.

Shalom

Ways to Open Yourself up to God
  • Word - Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119: 105, KJV). The Word of God is the truth about God and points us to the full revelation of His person in Jesus Christ. (John 5: 39 - 40). Prioritize His Word, reading and thinking on it daily. By His Spirit you will experience a renewal of mind that positions you to desire and choose God more and more. (Romans 12: 1 - 2).

  • Repentance - Repentance is to change your mind and in changing your mind, walk in the decision of your renewed thinking, by the power of the Holy Spirit. (www.biblestudytools.com). The proof of your renewed mind should show up in renewed living. (James 2: 14). And by the power of the Holy Spirit, you are able to live a renewed life. You must choose it. When you choose it, there you will find the Spirit’s power and presence to fuel and guide your walk with the Lord. (Philippians 2:13). He will never cast you away! Instead, what you can expect is His warm embrace. (1 John 1: 9).

  • Fasting - Fasting can create room for you to experience, in the body, your complete (mind, spirit and body) need for God. It can also create the environment in which God can help loosen you from unhealthy attachments. Pray about what you should let go. Also, pray about of what you should take hold. Fasting is as much about letting go, as it is about grasping firmly. Consult this beginners guide, if this is new for you: https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/fasting-for-beginners#1-start-small
