Read |John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:20|So, if you read and meditated on last week's devotional, you know WHAT the excitement is all about. God has invited us to live a life of liberty from condemnation and the power of sin. He has called us to live a life bound in His unconditional love. He has invited us to live on purpose, by His Spirit. He has called us to live a life of faithful and satisfying intimacy with Him. He has called us to the good part--the abundant life! It's exciting. You want to say yes. But, you worry. You worry about the guest list. You think, Am I invited? The short answer is yes. The Bible reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16, NIV). In other words, God's love was not for a few, it was for the entire world (all people) and, His love moved Him to give the world what it needed most--salvation (redemption from its sins and relationship with Him, whom is the source of life). Anyone who would put her trust in His finished work for the salvation of her soul would receive the gift of eternal life. Anyone. Anyone who says yes to Jesus Christ receives this gift and access to an abundant life. The weary and heavy laden are invited. (Matthew 11:28). The weak are invited. (Isaiah 55). The hungry and thirsty are invited. (Isaiah 55). The poor are invited. (Isaiah 55). The sick are invited. (Luke 8: 43 - 48). The slave and disenfranchised are invited. (Philemon 1: 8 - 16). The outsiders are invited. (Acts 8: 26 - 40). The thieves are invited. (Luke 23: 39 - 43). The murderers and blasphemers are invited. (1 Timothy 1: 13 - 16). The women are invited. (John 4). Invitation "We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God." (2 Corinthians 5:20, NIV). Say yes here: https://www.earthbasic.org/way-home.html If you are already enjoying the wellspring of life in Jesus Christ, take the time today to extend the invitation to someone who needs Jesus. Share your testimony. Make His plea. This will be your act of worship--acknowledging His worth by encouraging others to taste and see that He is good. Here are a few ways to do this:
