I became afraid of death, the grave and punishment, when I forgot that I had already been made right with God in Jesus Christ, who Himself prepares a place of eternal beauty and rest for me to lay my head. (Romans 8:30 and John 14:3). I became afraid of evil thoughts, when I forgot that He gave me a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7). I became afraid of the old man rising, when I forgot that He made all things new, giving me power to live a life victorious by His Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 8). I became afraid of my enemies, when I forgot that no weapon formed against me would prosper. (Isaiah 54:17). I became afraid of my past, when I forgot that goodness and mercy would follow me all the days of my life. (Psalm 23:6). I became afraid of the present, when I forgot that He is with me as an ever present help in the time of trouble and strength where I am weak. (Psalm 46:1 and 2 Corinthians 12:9-11). I became afraid of the future, when I forgot that His plans are to prosper and not harm me--to give me a great future. (Jeremiah 29:11). I became afraid of dying, when I forgot that it is to Him I will return. I am remembering now. I am making a habit of remembering. I am not on my own. "The LORD is my light and my salvation--whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life--whom shall I dread?" (Psalm 27:1, CSB). With finality, A woman hidden in the Most High God.
