Summer Rest

Dear Be-Held Woman,

It has been quite a year! So many transitions-most unplanned and some grievously unwelcome. Yet, if you are reading this, you are a standing testimony of God's goodness (even if you don't feel like it). 

There is still so much that lies ahead. And it seems impossible to plan for it all-to be prepared enough. Yet, here I see an invitation to a deeper measure of reliance. Do you perceive it? The gaping hole between what's in your hand and what's before you? Could it be God space? Could it be God calling you to the cliff of self so that with one more step you would find yourself wondrously cared for by Him? Perhaps. Just a thought: a hopeful one.

I pray that all your gaps may be filled by Him. I pray that as you move forward, His goodness to you will eclipse all the dread of the unknown. He goes before you. He is for you. He is with you.

Until I, along with the Be-Held Writers, have the opportunity to grace your inboxes and fill your screens again in September, take care.
