Dear Purposelessness

Dear Purposelessness,

I am purposefully planted. I am planted where I will flourish. I am planted so I can bear much fruit. He has planted me. He has put me in this place of plenty--of flourishing. (John 15:16). He has placed me in Eden resurrected. He has placed me in He who is life and the light of all people. (Galatians 3:27 and John 1:4). I am purposefully planted. Wisely, faithfully and lovingly tended. (John 15:1). I am coming to bear now, even as I know that what I shall be has yet to be seen. (1 John 3:2).

My purpose is in Him. And He is working it through, from start to finish; from dark to light; from a void to depths teeming with life. (Philippians 1:6). My purpose is in Him. He has chosen me. He has called me by name. He has called me to the work of reliance on Him. He has fashioned me with His very hands and apportioned grace to me, that I might enter faithfully into the good works He has prepared for me to perform. (Ephesians 2:10). And I don't have to worry. I don't have to conjure up a moment. He has already written the story. (Psalm 139:16). One faithful act of obedience at a time--faithfulness in the first work of reliance--is the way to live fully. (John 6:29).

I matter here. I matter now. Even as I am planted, I am planting. I am planting every day. I am sowing in every place in which I stand. Every moment, whether in secret or before notable people, is a moment to be lived on purpose. My purpose is not ahead of me. It is not lost behind me. It is always here. It is always now. It is always here. It is always now. 

I will be the light, which burns with His light. (Matthew 5: 14 - 16). I will be the wick set ablaze in the darkness by the light of His love. I will be the salt--a purifier in the earth. (Matthew 5: 13 - 16). I will be as He is: royal, holy, loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled. (1 Peter 2:9 and Galatians 5: 22 - 23). I will live abundantly. Live. Live! Live fully. (John 10:10).
